What is the inductance? 2012-11-15 15:40:55

The inductor is an attribute of a closed loop, i.e., when the change of the current through the closed circuit, the inductor (Fig. 1) Electromotive force will appear to resist the change in the current. This inductor is called self-inductance (self-inductance), closed loop own properties.

Assuming a current changing in a closed loop, while the electromotive force is generated due to the inductive effect a closed circuit, this inductance referred to as mutual inductance (mutual Inductance).
